This role offers an exciting opportunity to work across the Major Developments Directorate at a period of major regeneration in the city. You will be part of a team that leads on funding, placemaking, climate change, capital projects and inward investment.
We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic, willingness and a passion for place.
The hours are 37 per week and are negotiable to suit the service delivery and the successful candidate.
Key responsibilities:- Undertake the role of Assistant Development Officer for the directorate providing project support to the Director, Assistant Director and rest of the team.
- Work in a collaborative and supportive manner with the Director, Assistant Director and rest of the team.
- Provide administrative support to identified major development project groups.
- Support the Director and Assistant Director by engaging in a collaborative manner with partnerships, local businesses and investors, participate in key initiatives, and provide professional and effective support to private sector boards and projects.
- Experience of developing, leading and managing effective teams, setting clear objectives, providing constructive feedback and acting as a role model.
- Ability to develop new and creative approaches to service delivery.
- Experience of working / liaising with partner organisations.
- Experience of calmly making consistent, timely and risk-based decisions under pressure.
- Ability to manage and monitor budgets effectively.
- Experience of working independently and using own initiative with tasks and supporting management.
- A Level / Level 3 NVQ qualification in a relevant field or relevant demonstrable experience.
