The starting salary for this role is £33,552 per annum, working 36 hours per week.
This is a secondment opportunity until 31/03/2027.
We are hiring 3 Assistant Data Specialists to join our busy team, which works to maintain and update datasets relating to the organisational structure of Surrey County Council.

About the Team
We provide organisation management support to all services within the Council as well as Surrey Schools, covering 24000 positions and staff, as well as proactively carrying out data integrities to ensure the information used to make decisions is completely accurate.
About the Role
These roles are pivotal in supporting the Local Government Reorganisation (LGR) and its associated electoral arrangements. The primary object is to establish a more efficient organisational framework for local government, thus enhancing service delivery for residents.
As an Assistant Data Specialist, you will work closely with the team to provide support and guidance on the structure and changes required to it. This includes liaising with services across the organisation to understand and action their needs, as well as working with the team to cleanse data.
In this role, you will be responsible for providing reports to various internal stakeholders, ensuring that all data complies with regulations such as GDPR. You will work collaboratively with teams across the organisation to cleanse and validate data, while also updating and maintaining it in line with instructions received from different services. Additionally, you will contribute to maintaining data integrity to ensure that the information provided is both accurate and clearly presented.
This role is ideal for someone with a good eye for detail and a passion for data integrity and cleansing.

In order to be considered for shortlisting, your application will clearly evidence the following skills and align with our behaviours :
- Advanced Excel skills
 - Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build sound relationships with customers, adapting styles to different situations
 - High level administrative and organisational skills
 - Excellent attention to detail
