The DoubleTree by Hilton Brighton Metropole is now recruiting for an Assistant Chief Engineer. The hotel is set on the vibrant Brighton seafront in a beautiful 1890's building.
The hotel comprises 321 guest bedrooms, 24 meeting rooms, 3 restaurants, a health club with indoor pool and sauna.

Annual salary ranging from £36,000 up to £38,000

As an Assistant Chief Engineer, you will be responsible for all maintenance issues within the hotel, perform daily checks and repair mechanical equipment to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience. You will also coordinate renovation projects and develop emergency programs. Specifically, you will perform the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Responsible for maintenance issues within the hotel
- Perform daily checks around the hotel
- Conduct lift emergency release procedures as required
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair mechanical equipment within the hotel
- Ensure good relationships areidal with internal and external customers
- Maintain all hotel fixtures and fittings to ensure they are in safe condition and take action when any unsafe situations arise
- Develop, implement, and direct all emergency programmes
- Develop, implement and manage energy conservation programmes for the property to minimise expenses
- Coordinate renovation bidding, define the cost and scope of the project, and oversee the general contractor and subcontractors to ensure quality work is performed cost effectively
- Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned
- Responsible for the health and safety of the hotel
- Ensure monthly safety inspections take place and employees are trained accordingly
An Assistant Chief Engineer serving Hilton brands Road Works on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:
- A strong background in Mechanical Engineering.
- Extensive knowledge of 4 pipe FCUs system.
- Centralised HVAC with Chillers knowledge.
- Boilers and CHP knowledge.
- Compliance Knowledge.
- Have managed a team of at least 5 people.
- Managed small projects.
- Stock management and ordering.
