Job Description
Assistant Property Manager (APM)

Location: Surrey
Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:30pm (37.5 hours per week)
Salary: £28,000-£30,000
Reporting to: Senior Property Manager

Holiday: 28 days holidays increasing one day per year up to 35 days

Additional information: A friendly small team of 6, parking available at the office, fully office based position with opportunity for progression within the block management sector.

Overview

An exciting opportunity has become available for an Assistant Property Manager to join a well-established property management company. The successful candidate will support the management of a residential portfolio of approximately 1,400 units across Surrey and South London, assisting with a wide range of property management responsibilities and working closely with the Senior Property Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Answering incoming calls in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Assisting with customer enquiries, leak investigations, and insurance claims.
  • Supporting the preparation and understanding of legal management packs.
  • Assisting with Fire, Health & Safety, and compliance recommendations.
  • Supporting with Annual General Meetings (AGMs).
  • Preparing and issuing service charge year-end accounting packs and Section 20 notices.
  • Liaising with contractors and obtaining quotations for works.
  • Assisting with invoice processing in line with company procedures.
  • Providing support to the Senior Property Manager and covering office requirements when required.
  • Assisting with the general day-to-day management of residential properties.
Person Specification
  • Previous experience working within the property sector. (lettings or block)
  • Strong customer service experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work independently while taking a proactive approach.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team within an office environment.
