Assistant Accountant

An expanding local organisation is seeking an Assistant Accountant to support the FC with day-to-day finance.

This local business based in West Hull is seeking an Assistant Accountant to join the team due to expansion.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will act as their number two with some supervision and mentoring responsibility for the accounts assistant.

Day-to-day duties will include reconciling the ledger accounts, assisting with month-end and year-end, bank reconciliations, managing expenses, overseeing ledger transactions, VAT returns, preparing monthly payroll, supporting with audits, running finance projects and ad hoc duties to support the Financial Controller.
The role is full-time, office-based with flexibility around hours, increasing holidays and an annual performance bonus.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Accounts Assistant who is looking to progress in their finance career.

Accounting qualifications are not essential. However, strong IT skills are coupled with recent and relevant experience and a team work ethic.
