Position: Assistant Accountant / Accounts Assistant
Location: Galway City / North Galway

Arcon Recruitment is currently recruiting for an Assistant Accountant / Accounts Assistant on behalf of our client, a leading Galway-based company. This role is ideal for a motivated individual with solid accounting experience who is looking to progress within a professional and supportive environment.

• Assist in the preparation of management accounts and financial statements.
• Manage daily accounting transactions, including accounts payable and receivable.
• Reconcile bank accounts and supplier statements.
• Process invoices, credit notes, and payments accurately and efficiently.
• Assist with VAT and RCT returns.
• Support the finance team with month-end and year-end reporting.

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role.
• Accounting technician qualification or studying towards ACCA/CPA/CIMA is desirable.
• Experience in Sage, QuickBooks, or similar accounting software.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Excellent organisational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work on own initiative.
