Asset Data Coordinator

The Role

The Asset Management and Sustainability area is responsible for the development of asset policies, strategies and plans to determine the significant investment required into Ireland's infrastructure. The area drives investment and the Sustainability and Innovation agenda for the organisation and leads on Environmental Regulation and Compliance activities, ensuring the quality of water and wastewater is continuously monitored. The Asset Management function is responsible for strategic planning, prioritisation, and development of Uisce Éireann's Capital Works pipeline. The function plays a key role in promoting collaboration and co ordination of activities across the three asset functions as well as providing environmental assessment and management expertise across Uisce Éireann.

The Asset Intelligence team's purpose is to connect their customers with quality asset data to drive insights and support decision making. The scope of the team's responsibility covers 4 main areas: Asset Data Insights and Stakeholder Management, Asset Data Management, Asset Data Governance and Special Projects.

Reporting to the Asset Data Analyst Maximo Architecture, the Asset Data Coordinator - Maximo will contribute to the coordination, maintenance and controlled update of asset and maintenance data and associated system structures within Maximo, ensuring data and configuration elements are accurate, controlled and fit for operational use.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure that asset databases and associated system structures within Maximo are maintained and are fit for purpose.

• Ensure that processing and provision of asset information aligns with the needs of the Asset Management and Operations teams and is compliant with statutory and regulatory requirements.

• Efficiently track and manage asset and location data and related maintenance data within Maximo throughout the asset lifecycle.

• Coordinate and implement updates to Maximo configuration and reference data, including job plans, preventative maintenance records, domains/GVLs and user access structures, ensuring changes are applied in line with approved standards, testing and governance controls.

• Support the Asset Data Analyst in providing asset data quality assurance and updates in response to changes made or identified in the field.

• Assist in the setting of operational performance indicators relating to asset data.

• Ensure that any required reporting is complete, timely and accurate, and that content is appropriate to users' needs.

• Assist in the formulation and implementation of standards and best practices relating to asset information management and provision, in accordance with, and supportive of, regulatory requirements and company objectives.

• Where appropriate, provide guidance and assistance relating to asset data management to other team members and colleagues.

• Assist in problem solving based on intelligence gathered from both internal and external systems.

• Liaise with the owners of the assets in relation to issues concerning asset data quality and completeness.

• Contribute to achieving the objectives and targets of the Asset Management Business plans.

• Raise risks and issues as appropriate to the Asset Data Analyst.

• Co ordinate tasks and schedules as appropriate.

• Participate in ongoing projects as required.

• Keep up to date with best practice.

General Duties and Responsibilities

• Collaborate with key internal stakeholders across the UÉ business.

• Responsible for promoting and delivering health and safety commitments across UÉ and its supply chain, reinforcing positive behaviours and delivering health and safety objectives and requirements to the highest industry standards.

• Support the delivery of the Uisce Éireann Transformation Programme, driving results required within the Directorate and supporting organisation wide objectives.

• Provide visible leadership for your team, coaching and developing them to achieve their full potential and deliver business objectives, promoting collaboration and highlighting the behaviours that are expected from everyone in the team.

• Other duties as required.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• Relevant third level qualification and or accreditation is desirable.

• A minimum of 1 year's experience in the water, utilities or similar industries is desirable and or relevant experience.

• Experience working with IBM Maximo or similar Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) systems, including supporting configuration and system data updates, is desirable.

• Understanding of asset and maintenance data structures within Maximo (e.g. job plans, preventative maintenance records or asset hierarchies) is desirable.

• Strong Computer skills with a proficient working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

• Ability to set up ongoing processes and procedures to collect and review information.

• Proven ability to work on own initiative and with others to promote the success in the performance of a team.

• Proven effective time management skills with the ability to prioritise and remain focused.

• Proven ability to create and develop good working relationships to facilitate the accomplishment of work goals, coupled with the ability to gain commitment from others.

• Flexible with regard to working in a changing environment and the ability to adjust to new work structures, processes and requirements as necessary.
