We are seeking a College Assessor Trainer to join our team. In this role you will train and assess Welding & Fabrication subjects for full-time students to support progression to employment. You will also ensure that workshops are maintained in a safe operational condition, and that all teaching and learning related materials are prepared in a timely manner.
Job title: College Assessor Trainer - Professional Construction, Engineering and Manufacturing
Part time, 22.5 hours a week, 52 weeks a year, £31284.24 - £35228.44 FTE
About the role- Evaluate and improve the quality of learning and teaching within your delivery, utilising and engaging with the college's development and observation programmes.
- Maintain workshop, equipment, and tools to the highest standards, ensuring statutory requirements are met.
- Competently and professionally liaise with customers and employers.
- Maintain an effective and timely stock control system of materials and consumables, including the ordering of tools and equipment.
- Contribute to the work of programme teams, committees and boards as appropriate.
- Carry out and oversee practical community or college projects, ensuring high standards of work are maintained at all times.
- Significant industrial experience in a welding & fabrication environment.
- Teaching Qualification (Award in Education L3) or willingness to complete within 3 years.
- Level 2 qualification in English and Mathematics GCSE 4+ or C and above / CSE Level 1 / O-Level C or above / Level 2 Adult Numeracy or Literacy or equivalent.
