Job Description

Job Title: Assessment Manager
Location: Farringdon, London (minimum 3 days per week in office, 2 days WFH - occasional flexibility required)
Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum, dependent on experience
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time (35 hours per week)

The Role
Our client is looking for an Assessment Manager to oversee the end-to-end learning and assessment processes. You will be responsible for the production, quality assurance, and delivery of assessment materials, working closely with internal teams and external examiners.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in team leadership who is looking to take the next step in their career and gain broader responsibility in assessment management. You will support, guide, and coordinate groups of stakeholders, while contributing to the development of new qualification products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage scheduling, planning, and production of assessment materials to required standards.
  • Oversee administration of assessment production processes and maintain security of assessment materials.
  • Support, guide, and coordinate examining teams and other stakeholders.
  • Assist with budgeting and monitor spend for the assessment function.
  • Prepare reports and papers for review groups and committees, and provide updates as required.
  • Support onboarding, training, and feedback processes for examining team members.
  • Manage student communications relating to assessments, including registrations, extenuating circumstances, and appeals.
  • Ensure compliance with organisational policies and assessment frameworks.

Team Leadership:
You will be working with a small team of Learning and Assessment Executives and Administrators. Full line management experience is not required, but experience leading or coordinating a team is essential.
Person Specification Knowledge & Skills:

  • Good understanding of learning and assessment processes in professional membership organisations.
  • Experience with online assessment platforms.
  • Solid knowledge of MS Office, particularly Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Strong organisational, prioritisation, and time-management skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication.

Experience:

  • Experience drafting, editing, and reviewing examination or assessment materials.
  • Experience advising, guiding, or coordinating external examiners or volunteers.
  • Experience preparing papers and reports for committees or review groups.
  • Familiarity with working to budgets and monitoring spend.
