Salary: £13 - £13.50 per hour

Hours: Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm

Type: Temporary to Permanent

Are you an experienced Assembly Operative or Production Operative looking for a new opportunity? Do you have experience working with wood, hand tools or power tools?

We are currently recruiting for an Assembly Operative to join a well-established business based in Dudley.

The Role

Working as part of the production team, you will be responsible for assembling and finishing products to a high standard. The role would suit someone who enjoys practical, hands-on work and has experience within assembly, woodworking or general production.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assembling products and components accurately
  
  
• Using a range of hand tools and power tools
  
  
• Measuring, cutting and fitting components
  
  
• Following drawings, instructions and specifications
  
  
• Checking completed work for quality and accuracy
  
  
• Carrying out preparation, finishing and general workshop duties
  
  
• Maintaining a clean and organised working area
  
  
• Working to production deadlines and quality standards
  
  
• Supporting the wider production team when required
  
  

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience within an assembly, manufacturing, production or workshop environment.

You should be:

• Practical and hands-on
  
  
• Confident using hand tools and power tools
  
  
• Comfortable working with wood or timber
  
  
• Able to follow instructions and work accurately
  
  
• Quality-conscious with good attention to detail
  
  
• Reliable and punctual
  
  
• Comfortable working as part of a team
  
  
• Physically capable of carrying out a hands-on production role
  
  

Previous woodworking, furniture assembly or manufacturing experience would be advantageous, although candidates with strong practical skills from other backgrounds will also be considered.
