Assembly and Test Technician

Location: Gort, Co. Galway

Role Type: Full time permanent onsite
Reporting to: Production Manager
Shift Pattern: Day Shift

Hours of Work:

  • Monday to Thursday: 7:00am - 4:00pm
  • Friday: 7:00am - 12:00pm

We are currently seeking an Assembly and Test Technician to join our Manufacturing Operations team in Gort. This is a hands on role ideally suited to a technician with experience in electronics assembly and testing who is looking to build their career in a high quality, regulated medical device environment.

The Role

As an Assembly and Test Technician, you will play a key role in the assembly, configuration and testing of advanced medical device products, including PC based medical diagnostic systems such as EEG, EMG and IOM. You will work both independently and as part of a collaborative manufacturing team to ensure products meet strict quality and customer requirements within defined timelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble, configure and test electronic and electro mechanical medical device products
  • Perform functional and system level testing of hardware and software
  • Follow engineering drawings, specifications, work instructions and quality procedures
  • Accurately document test results and manufacturing records
  • Identify defects or non conformances and support troubleshooting activities
  • Maintain a high standard of workmanship in line with regulatory and quality requirements
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within Manufacturing Operations

What We're Looking For

  • 1-2 years' experience in an electronics assembly, test, technician or technical support role
  • Good understanding of electronics principles and the ability to read drawings and specifications
  • Experience assembling and testing electronic products or systems
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently on routine tasks with moderate supervision
  • Clear communication skills for technical documentation and reporting
  • A collaborative team player with a strong sense of accountability
  • Electronic assembly and test skills

Advantageous:

  • Mechanical assembly experience
  • Experience working in a medical device or regulated manufacturing environment
