ASD Teacher

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the needs of pupils with ASD
• Create a structured, calm, and positive learning environment
• Use a range of strategies to support communication, behaviour, and emotional regulation
• Work closely with teaching assistants, SEN staff, and external professionals
• Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience working with children with ASD (school or specialist setting preferred)
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• A patient, flexible, and proactive approach
