A warm and well-resourced SEN school in Thatcham is seeking a dedicated ASD Support Assistant to work with pupils on the autism spectrum, including students with communication difficulties and sensory needs. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity within a highly supportive specialist setting.

Key Information:

• Role:ASD Support Assistant
• Location: Thatcham, Berkshire
• Pay: £90-£105 per day
• Start Date: ASAP
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm
• Age Range: 5-18 years

Your Role as an ASD Support Assistant:

• Support pupils with Autism on a 1:1 and small-group basis
• Assist with communication, emotional regulation, and sensory processing
• Use visual supports, structured routines, and personalised strategies
• Encourage independence, confidence, and positive social interaction
• Work collaboratively with Teachers, Therapists, and SEN professionals

This ASD Support role is ideal for graduates or aspiring Psychologists, Speech and Language Therapists, Teachers, or SEN professionals, offering excellent hands-on experience in a specialist autism provision.
