Asbestos Lab Manager - Leicester

Our client is a highly acclaimed and UKAS accredited asbestos consultancy that provides specialist asbestos services to clients nationwide. This company is currently recruiting for a profession and technically minded Asbestos Lab Manager to join their busy team in the Leicester area. The successful candidate will have extensive experience working within an asbestos lab manager capacity and must be confident in the training of new starters, the maintenance of equipment and the day to day running of an asbestos laboratory. Applications from Nuneaton, Tamworth, Nottingham, Loughborough and the surrounding areas will be considered.

Qualifications & Experience

• Must possess the P401 asbestos qualification.
• Will have supervisory/management experience within an asbestos lab setting.
• A strong technical, quality, audits, and laboratory background essential.
• Good communication skills both written and verbal.
• Proficient in using the Microsoft Office package.

Key Responsibilities

• All analytical instrumentation/equipment used is to be maintained regularly.
• Manage, train and develop staff as required.
• Ensure working environment is kept clean and tidy at all times.
• Compliance with all the Health and Safety requirements of your role.
• Oversee the laboratory team and ensure work is carried out effectively.
• Ensure samples are appropriately dealt with and stored correctly.
• Monitor work carried out and maintain stocks with regards to materials, etc.
• Liaise with clients on a regular basis.
• Carry out audit checks.
• Ensure that the quality systems are carried out in accordance with the company's procedures and policies.
• Build and maintain a good relationship with the company's mixed portfolio of clients.
