Asbestos Consultant/Technical Manager - Edinburgh

Job Description

The leading asbestos consultancy with a large presence nationwide is currently looking to employ a confident and experienced Asbestos Consultant/Technical Manager to join their workforce in and around Edinburgh. Candidate will ideally need a strong analytical background and will have experience in quality control and technical audits, advising on training requirements, carrying out inspections and liaising with UKAS. Consideration will be given to strong asbestos consultants looking to grow within the company. Applications from Glasgow, Paisley, Dundee, and the surrounding areas will be considered.

Qualifications & Experience

• Previous experience in an Asbestos Surveyor or Site Analyst role essential.
• Will hold the P402, P403, P404 or the equivalent RSPH qualifications.
• A good working knowledge of the asbestos industry.
• Have strong analytical experience.
• Possess good communication skills.
• Proficient in using the Microsoft Office Package.
• We are also interested in anyone with p401/p402/p403/p404/p404 or s301 CCP.

Key Responsibilities

• Quality control and audits - advising on training requirements and attending operational/technical meetings.
• Ensuring that the company maintains a good level of technical and quality competence in all aspects recognized by external UKAS accreditation.
• Carrying out audits, inspections and quality control effectively.
• Liaising with UKAS.
• Advising on training requirements - Asbestos Awareness Training.
• Complying with UKAS documentation and procedures.
• Building and maintaining a good rapport with the company's large and mixed portfolio of clients.
• Dealing with any issues appropriately and effectively.
• Travelling to other offices as and when required.
