ARRS Salaried GP Vacancy - Silverdale Medical Practice Join our friendly, high-achieving team at Silverdale Medical Practice, Pendlebury, as a 7-session ARRS Salaried GP (Monday, Wednesday morning, Thursday & Friday). This exciting role offers a competitive salary of £72,765.19 within a well-established, forward-thinking practice that is part of Swinton Primary Care Network.
Youll provide high-quality, patient-centred care across routine and same-day demand, supported by an exceptional multidisciplinary team including Advanced Paramedic Practitioners, Nurse Practitioners, Pharmacists, and a strong nursing and management team.
We are an innovative, digitally-enabled 12,700-patient GMS practice using EMIS Web, Docman and Ardens triage, consistently achieving high QOF and Salford Standards results. Youll have protected study leave (3 days per year) and, paid GMC/MDU fees, seven weeks annual leave, and opportunities to develop special interests and leadership roles within the PCN.

Main duties of the job As an ARRS Salaried GP at Silverdale Medical Practice, you will provide high-quality, evidence-based primary care to our 12,700 patients, working within a supportive multidisciplinary team. Youll deliver routine and same-day consultations across face-to-face, telephone and online platforms, managing acute, chronic and complex presentations while maintaining continuity of care. You will visit housebound patients to assess their needs.
Youll take responsibility for the holistic assessment, diagnosis and treatment of patients, supported by Advanced Paramedic Practitioners, Nurse Practitioners, Pharmacists and a strong nursing and management team. The role includes results handling, repeat prescribing, and participation in duty doctor sessions as part of the clinical rota.
You will contribute to long-term condition management, proactive care, and population health initiatives in partnership with Swinton Primary Care Network, helping to reduce health inequalities and improve patient outcomes.

Job PurposeThe ARRS Salaried GP will provide safe high quality clinical care to the patients of Silverdale Medical Practice. The postholder will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, delivering patient centred holistic care contributing to population health improvement, quality initiatives and network level projects under the Additional Roles Reimbursement Scheme. This role is ideal for a motivated GP seeking a supportive innovative environment with opportunities for development and career progression.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical ResponsibilitiesProvide high quality clinical care to registered patients including diagnosis management and treatment of acute and long term conditions.
Undertake telephone, online and face to face consultations.
Undertake in rotation with other salaried GPs clinical triage using Accurx.
Support continuity of care through proactive case management and collaborative MDT working.
Manage results, referrals, repeat prescribing and workflow efficiently. Provide clinical leadership and mentoring to allied health professionals such as pharmacists APPs and ANPs.
Participate in duty doctor and on the day care systems as part of the practice rota.
Adhere to evidence based guidelines and local care pathways.
Maintain accurate clinical records using EMIS Web and associated systems.
PCN and ARRS ResponsibilitiesDeliver services that align with Primary Care Network Directed Enhanced Service priorities. Support population health and quality improvement initiatives such as CVD Prevention QOF and LTC Management.
Participate in ARRS role evaluation supervision and outcome reporting.
Contribute to network wide projects improving access digital triage and proactive care. Work collaboratively with other PCN practices attending relevant meetings and shared MDTs.
Professional DevelopmentUndertake three protected study leave sessions per year for CPD and training. Salford currently have a afternoon session per month for professional development on alternate Wednesday and Thursdays.
Participate in annual appraisal and revalidation.
Maintain Level 3 Safeguarding training for children and adults.
Contribute to audits clinical governance and continuous improvement.
Engage with quality and safety reviews significant events and learning activities.
Team and Practice DevelopmentTake an active role in practice and PCN meetings contributing ideas for improvement.
Support innovation in digital and integrated care delivery.

- MBChB or equivalent medical qualification.
- Currently fully registered with the General Medical Council (GMC).
- Inclusion on the National Performers List (England) or eligible for inclusion,
- GMC Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in General Practice
- Recently qualified GP within 2 years of the date of CCT (GMC certificate of completion of training).
- Evidence of ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
- Indemnity cover appropriate for the role.
- Experience
- Experience of working in General Practice during training or post-CCT.
- Understanding of current primary care challenges and NHS priorities.
- Experience in managing patients with a range of acute and chronic conditions.
- Experience in multidisciplinary and/or primary care network (PCN) settings.
