Job Description: Area Manager at Amazon Fulfillment Centers

We are seeking Area Managers for our Fulfillment Centers (FCs). Amazon is a globally recognized brand, distributing millions of products annually to our loyal customers.

Key Focus Areas

• Safety, quality, customer experience, and productivity of your department
• Review work forecasts and determine productivity requirements to meet overall building objectives
• Partner with other Area Managers to balance labor and ensure efficient shift operations
• Support safety programs and OSHA compliance for a safe work environment
• Lead process improvement initiatives and utilize Lean tools

Supervisory Responsibilities

Manage a team of warehouse associates, ensuring proper training and addressing their needs to focus on their roles. Lead change at internet speed, fostering innovation to support our global success.

Additional Job Elements

• Physical activities including bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching
• Frequent walking in large facilities
• Continual standing and walking
• Ability to work in noisy, unlit, or non-air-conditioned environments
• Access all areas of the building safely

Skills Required

• Experience managing employees and their performance
• Experience with performance metrics and process improvement
• Flexibility to work weekends and/or overnight shifts

Qualifications Basic Qualifications

• 2+ years of employee and performance management experience
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon experience
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, nights, and holidays

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience with performance metrics, process improvement, or lean techniques
