Architect Job: Hays: Design Manager

Major construction company with a predominance of work in the Education sector

is seeking a design manager with education sector experience and specifically DFE tendering process experience.

Your new role

To support the generation of profitable tenders for authorisation and submission, in order to maximise the order pipeline and its conversion into market share, revenue and operating profit within the business unit.

To manage the process of designing the solution(s) for the project in order to meet or exceed customers' requirements. To identify contractual, financial, technical and operational risks and to find opportunities for value engineering, in order to minimise risk and maximise gross profit on contracts. To support the fulfilment of the pipeline of contracts safely, on time, and to the required quality while maximising gross profit and customers' satisfaction.

To implement all of the Group's relevant policies including those for SHE, risk management and solution design.

What you'll need to succeed

Previous experience in a similar role, working on projects in the education sector, and DFE tender process experience.
