Job Description

Under the direct supervision of the Aquatics Director, the Aquatics Coordinator is to provide the safest possible environment for YMCA members and participants in the pool area. Acts as a shift supervisor in the absence of Aquatics Director.

Positions Specifics

Pay Rate $17 - $19/hr

Full time with 20 - 30 hours a week direct program hours

Schedule: Tuesday - Friday 10:00a - 7:00p and 8:00a - 4:00p on Saturdays

Qualifications and Responsibilities

Lifeguard, CPR for the Professional Rescuer/AED, and First Aid
Swim Lesson Certification (Red Cross WSI or YMCA) or equivalent experience preferred
Ability to maintain certification-level physical and mental readiness
Must demonstrate lifeguard skills in accordance with YMCA standards
Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community
Minimum of three year's coaching, lifeguard, or swim instructor experience
Must be able to communicate effectively and have knowledge and understanding of administrative, management, financial, program, and human relations skills
Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience
