At Elk Recruitment, we are looking for a driven Apprentice Mechanical Fitter in 2nd or 3rd year of apprenticeship to join our client's growing team based in Co. Kildare. Your new role includes

• Assisting with fitting, assembly, installation, and maintenance of mechanical components
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
• Using hand tools, power tools, and workshop machinery safely
• Performing fault finding, repairs, and preventative maintenance
• Measuring and preparing materials to required tolerances
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
• Completing apprenticeship logbooks and trade school requirements

Experience you need

• Must be currently enrolled as a 2nd or 3rd Year Mechanical Fitter Apprentice
• Understanding od mechanical fitting principles
• Ability to read engineering and technical drawings
• Welding, machining, or fabrication exposure beneficial
• Previous workshop/ manufacturing/ maintenance experience
