Vacancy Description

• With the support of other officers, receive and assess complaints from the public and enforcement partners about trading standards and other matters, and determine whether these require further investigation in accordance with office procedures.
• Complete an intelligence assessment on the Intelligence Data Base based on the information obtained.
• Research and evaluate received information, make further enquiries to identify gaps and patterns, involving contacting officers within the team, the wider council, and external agencies such as the police or members of the public.
• Produce verbal, written briefings, and reports for managers using the CIVICA APP database, including the Head of Public Protection, line managers, and the wider trading standards team, to address identified problems.
