About the Role

Are you passionate about food and eager to start your culinary career? Sodexo is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice Commis Chef to join our catering team at Sevenoaks School.

This is an exciting opportunity to earn while you learn, gaining hands on experience in a professional kitchen while working towards a nationally recognised qualification. You'll work alongside experienced chefs, helping to prepare and serve fresh, high quality meals for pupils, staff, and visitors.

What You Will Do

• Assist with the preparation, cooking, and presentation of high quality meals.
• Learn a range of cooking techniques and kitchen skills from experienced chefs.
• Support food preparation for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and hospitality events.
• Maintain excellent standards of food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness.
• Assist with stock rotation, storage, and delivery checks.
• Help ensure all dietary requirements and allergen procedures are followed.
• Work collaboratively as part of a busy and professional kitchen team.
• Participate fully in apprenticeship training, assessments, and reviews.
