This apprenticeship is open to applicants aged 18+ and offers the chance to gain real workplace experience while working towards aCustomer Service qualification, withfull on the job training provided.

We're looking for friendly, confident people to patrol local streets, keep parking safe and fair, support the public, and help keep our neighbourhoods running smoothly. You may know us best as Traffic Wardens or Parking Attendants.

42.5 hours per week - these could be anywhere between Monday - Saturday with the occasional Sunday therefore flexibility is required for working patterns.

Overview

Our client is seeking a dedicated Apprentice Civil Enforcement Officer to join their team. This role involves ensuring compliance with parking and traffic regulations, managing enforcement activities, and maintaining public safety within designated areas. This position offers an opportunity to serve the community while developing professional skills in regulatory enforcement.

What you'll be doing

You will patrol public streets and car parks, helping keep communities safe and accessible by:

  • Advising the public on parking rules and safe parking
  • Issuing Penalty Charge Notices to incorrectly parked vehicles
  • Responding to public enquiries professionally and courteously
  • Reporting abandoned vehicles and equipment issues
  • Supporting enforcement colleagues when required
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Ability to work shifts and handle challenging situations calmly
Requirements
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to manage enforcement activities
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment
  • Good organisational skills with the capacity to prioritise tasks efficiently
  • Physically fit to undertake patrols on foot in various weather conditions
  • Ability to work shifts and handle challenging situations calmly

This role is vital for maintaining order within the community and ensuring that regulations are respected for the benefit of all residents.

  • This is a physically demanding role; the position involves working outdoors in all weather conditions and, following training, candidates will often be working independently.
