Salary: £18,720 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
We are seeking a passionate & dedicated Apprentice Chef to join our culinary team at Noble House, Worcester.
An apprenticeship is a powerful way to start your career in catering and hospitality. It offers a perfect balance of practical experience working alongside experienced professionals, gaining practical skills in food preparation, hygiene, customer service, and kitchen operations in a real working environment. Structured learning allows you to earn while you learn and gain a nationally recognised qualification.
Role of Apprentice Chef will include:- Assist in the delivery of a versatile and high standard catering service that meets the needs and preferences of all customers.
- Support residents with individual dietary requirements, including special diets and allergen considerations.
- Help manage food stock and supplies to ensure menu delivery aligns with budgetary constraints and operational needs.
- Receive and check food stock deliveries, ensuring accuracy and quality.
- Adhere to the Food Safety Management System, maintaining accurate and up to date records as required.
- Perform routine cleaning of all food service areas and kitchen equipment to uphold high standards of hygiene and safety.
- A minimum of 2 GCSEs at grade D or E (grades 2-3) or equivalent in Maths and English.
- A genuine interest in cooking and a desire to learn.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work in a fast paced environment.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices (training will be provided).
- A positive attitude and a commitment to providing excellent service.
- 25 days leave rising to a maximum of 30 days (plus public holidays).
