Appointments as Ordinary Member to the Financial Services and Pensions Ombudsman Council

The Minister for Finance invites applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the positions of Ordinary Member to the Financial Services and Pensions Ombudsman Council.

Candidates wishing to apply must demonstrate in their application evidence of experience at the appropriately senior level in the following areas:

• consumer protection and other consumer issues relating to the provision of financial services; or
• the financial services industry; or
• the pensions industry.

It is also desirable that candidates demonstrate evidence of experience in the following:

• previous corporate governance or audit committee knowledge or experience;
• previous financial management experience;
• experience of consumer engagement regarding rights and entitlements;
• knowledge of alternative dispute resolution methodologies;
• previous board experience;
• experience of the insurance industry;
• experience in ICT project management.
