This is an excellent opportunity for commercially strong, industry experienced, pragmatic individuals to join the team of Application Managers working on creating partnerships to exploit the exciting opportunities offered by Graphene and 2D Materials being developed at the University of Manchester.
The successful candidates will be responsible for developing effective commercial partnerships, proving new and novel materials, and establishing a growing body of application expertise. They will have experience working within industry, a demonstrable understanding of successful product development, and the ability to work effectively across all levels of organisations.
The ideal candidates will have a degree in an Engineering or Technically-based discipline, a track record in commercial business development, and strategic ability. They will be experienced in developing new products, have strong teamwork and project management skills, and the ability to build relationships internally and externally.
Key responsibilities and requirements include:
- Developing commercial partnerships with key partners
- Proving new and novel materials in novel opportunities
- Establishing a growing body of application expertise
- Experience working within industry
- Demonstrable understanding of successful product development
- Ability to work effectively across all levels of organisations
