Application Engineer For Computational Electromagnetics

ZMT, together with its partner organizations Foundation for Research on Information Technologies in Society (IT IS), Schmid & Partner Engineering AG (SPEAG), and TI Solutions AG (TI Solutions), form the Zurich43 alliance. Z43 s dedicated mission is to expand the knowledge and technology for (i) characterization, optimization, and application of the electromagnetic (EM) near-field, (ii) predictive modeling of interactions between physical agents and physiology in complex anatomies, and (iii) medical applications.

Your tasks:

• Development of showcases for various applications that demonstrate the features and capabilities of our simulation platform (web and desktop version)
• Technical support for our global users
• Technical presentations at seminars and workshops
• Participation in scientific conferences and exhibitions
• Research and observation of market trends and competitor products
• Collection of feedback from users and partners and collaborative work with the research and development teams to improve our simulation platform
• Support of the development team during all software release activities (e.g., testing of software, writing of application notes and manual, training sessions)

Your profile:

• University degree in electrical engineering or physics
• Solid background in EM theory
• Knowledge of and practical experience in at minimum one of the following areas: computational modeling and simulation, antenna design, medical device engineering, software development, scripting, web applications, electromagnetic field theory
• Good understanding of software development processes
• Strong sense of responsibility and commitment to the highest quality standard of work
• Self-motivation, good organizational and communication skills, impeccable attention to detail, friendly personality, and team-spirit
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, to work independently in a fast-paced setting, and to meet tight deadlines
• Commitment to effectively respond to the needs of partners and customers
• Proficiency in English (both written and spoken), ability to communicate in German is a plus
