Role Summary - API & LCNC Integration Architect
Location: London, UK (Remote)
Rate: £500/day on inside ir35
Contract: 6 months (extension possible)
The API & LCNC Integration Architect is a senior-level technical expert responsible for designing, implementing, and governing enterprise-wide integration solutions with a focus on low-code/no-code (LCNC) platforms and API architecture. This role combines deep technical expertise with strategic planning, ensuring scalable, secure, and efficient integration across diverse systems to accelerate digital transformation initiatives.
Key Skills & Experience

10+ years of experience in API & LCNC development, with 3-4 years in an architect-level role.

Expertise in integration patterns, microservices, REST/SOAP APIs, and iPaaS tools (eg, MuleSoft, Boomi, Power Platform).

Strong analytical skills to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Proven leadership in large-scale integration projects and mentoring teams in Agile environments.

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with a focus on secure, performant integrations.
Core Responsibilities
1. Architecture & Strategy
-
Define enterprise-wide integration blueprints and roadmaps connecting on-prem, cloud, and third-party systems.

Recommend and select LCNC & iPaaS platforms aligned with business and technical needs.

Define API strategy, standards, and governance to ensure reusability, scalability, and security.

Collaborate with business stakeholders and translate requirements into technical specifications.
2. Design & Development

Create detailed solution designs for integration flows and API logic.

Oversee LCNC development, guiding both professional and citizen developers.

Design, develop, and deploy APIs using gateways and management platforms.

Monitor and optimize integration performance and reliability.
3. Governance & Standards

Establish and enforce best practices for LCNC and API development, documentation, and error handling.

Ensure security compliance, data governance, and audit readiness.

Mentor development teams, foster knowledge sharing, and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
