Ansible Automation SME

Salary: £90,000 - £100,000 (Based on candidate experience)
Employee Package: Outstanding employee benefits package
Hybrid Model: Mostly Remote (ad-hoc to Central London, approx ~3-4 days per month)
Office Location(s): Central London/Canary Wharf
End Client Sector: Financial Services/Banking (previous experience highly desirable)

You'll architect next-gen automation solutions and drive the migration from Ansible Tower to Ansible Automation Platform (AAP)-all while shaping the future of infrastructure modernization.

>>> What You'll Be Doing

Act as the go-to point of knowledge for all things Ansible throughout a major Ansible Automation project.

Providing SME input within a major migration of Ansible Tower to Ansible Automation Platform (AAP), including design, planning, and execution

Refactor Legacy Ansible code for compatibility with modern versions

Integrate Ansible with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps toolchains

Develop and maintain enterprise-grade Ansible playbooks, modules, roles, and collections

Manage and optimize AAP infrastructure-Controllers, Execution Environments, and Automation Hub

Establish and enforce automation standards, best practices, and governance models

Ensure performance, security, and compliance of all automation processes

Work closely with world-class security engineers to ensure Security in integrated throughout

>>> What We're Looking For

Deep hands-on experience with Ansible, Ansible Tower, and Ansible Automation Platform

Fluent in YAML, Jinja2, and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC/IaaC) methodologies

Strong Linux systems, networking, and cloud automation background

Skilled in Git, CI/CD tools, and Scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell)

Familiarity with RBAC, compliance frameworks, and secure automation practices

Red Hat Certified Specialist in Ansible Automation or similar certs (preferred)

Experience with Ansible Content Collections, Automation Hub, and enterprise DevOps

Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills

Bonus: Knowledge of event-driven automation and ITSM integrations
