We are hiring an Android Developer responsible for designing, building, and maintaining high-quality mobile applications for Android devices. The primary goal is to deliver best-in-class user experiences through clean, efficient, and scalable code. The role involves working closely with product managers, designers, and other developers to plan, implement, and release new features, while ensuring adherence to internal coding standards, performance guidelines, and Google Play Store requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and release user interfaces for the Android application.

  • Ensure security best practices are followed when implementing new features and fixing bugs.

  • Prioritize creating clean and maintainable code.

  • Write UI/E2E and Unit Tests for thorough testing of application layers.

  • Collaborate with QA to enhance testing processes for complex features.

  • Participate in codebase modularization and maintain a focus on Android design standards.

  • Engage in weekly team meetings to discuss challenges and improvements.

  • Rotate the role of release manager within the Android team.

  • Automate release processes using internal tools.

  • Stay updated with technology trends and assess new tools for their applicability.

Must Haves:

  • Strong experience in Kotlin development.

  • Proficiency in Android development frameworks (eg, MVVM, RxJava).

  • Familiarity with dependency injection frameworks (eg, Dagger).

  • Experience with mobile app testing, including unit and UI/E2E tests.

  • Ability to understand and prioritize application security considerations.
