Analytics Engineer - Start September - Remote - 6 months
For our client, we are looking for an experienced Analytics Engineer specializing in Azure Synapse to support our growing analytics and Business Intelligence requirements. We need someone experienced at creating impactful SQL Views, conducting detailed data analysis, and designing solutions that combine insights from both SAP and non-SAP ecosystems. The role demands a strong focus on data extraction, transformation, and technical expertise to enable stakeholders across various departments to make informed and confident business decisions
Tasks
* Create SQL Views on Azure Synapse tailored to business requirements
* Develop SQL tables and views in Azure Synapse Pool
* Create Azure Data Factory pipelines for data extraction and transformation
* Create Python notebooks for data transformation
* Follow Git/GitHub processes for CI/CD
*Conduct quality assurance to ensure high-quality data
*Optimize queries and data transformation processes to improve performance and reduce load times in Analytics solutions
*Provide expertise in data modelling and the preparation of datasets for analysis in Tableau
Requirements
* Expert in Azure Suite (Synapse, Data Factory, Storage Account, SQL Server) hands-on experience in data provisioning and insights creation.
* Understanding of Data Lake and Medalion Architecture concepts
* Experience in Python development
* Experience in using Git and GitHub for CI/CD processes
* Advanced understanding of SQL for querying and extracting data from relational sources
* Knowledge of ETL processes and data warehousing principles
* Familiarity with SAP systems (SAP BW/4HANA, ECC) and non-SAP systems, including Azure/Azure Data Lakes
* Experience working with JIRA and Confluence in agile delivery frameworks (Scrum)
