A leading organisation is seeking an Analytics Engineer to join their growing analytics function. This role sits within a specialist team that blends technical expertise in modelling, statistical analysis, and data-driven risk solutions to support a high-impact business unit. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will play a key role in ensuring data flows seamlessly through the organisation and that decision-makers have the insights they need in a fast-moving market.

The Role
As an Analytics Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining robust data pipelines and data models. Your work will directly support business-critical functions and provide insight into some of the most complex challenges faced by the company.

Key responsibilities include:

Developing and maintaining scalable data pipelines to transform large datasets for analytics and reporting.
Troubleshooting and resolving issues in underlying data systems and models.
Documenting and sharing knowledge to ensure analytics assets are accessible and well-governed.
Working with stakeholders to identify key analytical problems and provide innovative, data-led solutions.
Partnering with teams across the business - including Analysts, Engineers, and Subject Matter Experts - to conduct analysis and deliver actionable insights.
Presenting data-driven findings through clear visualisations and written or verbal communication.

About You
To succeed in this role, you will bring a mix of technical expertise, problem-solving ability, and commercial acumen.

Degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Strong programming and data manipulation skills (SQL, Python).
Familiarity with cloud platforms, ideally Azure.
Experience with version control tools (eg GitHub).
Ability to develop clear and engaging data visualisations (experience with Power BI is a plus).
Background in building ETL pipelines and scheduling workflows.
Confident operating with autonomy and proactively driving projects forward.
