Job Description
Analyst, STR - London

STR, a CoStar Group company, is seeking a London-based Analyst to support international forecasting efforts and help maintain STR's position as a leading provider of forward looking hotel performance data worldwide.

Responsibilities
  • Assisting in the production and delivery of STR's Market Forecasts outside North America.
  • Contributing to forecasting methodology that captures region specific macroeconomic and hotel performance trends.
  • Collaborating with internal teams, external partners, and conducting market research to investigate conditions and demand drivers, adjusting forecasts accordingly.
  • Proactively building an in depth understanding of global hotel performance and key trends to create compelling storylines.
  • Communicating effectively through written memos/analyses and verbal interactions with clients and colleagues about forecast data and assumptions.
  • Promoting STR as a thought leader by visualizing data for conferences, events, meetings and client engagements.
  • Contributing analyses to blogs, articles and white papers distributed to clients and stakeholders.
  • Maintaining data quality and accuracy, investigating anomalies, and ensuring confidentiality.
  • Maintaining proactive communication with product and global analyst teams.
  • Keeping up to date on industry trends and ensuring CoStar brand values are evident.
Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of the hotel industry; experience in the industry a plus.
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Familiarity with Power BI and SSMS preferred.
  • Customer focused with excellent relationship building skills and presentation ability.
  • Adaptability to changing environments, priorities and organizational needs.
  • Results oriented with the ability to plan, prioritize, and execute tasks independently or in a team.
  • Analytical and research skills, including data analysis, interpretation, visualization, and validation.
  • Strong decision making skills and ownership of decisions.
  • Proficient at presenting trends and insights to stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills with ability to manage multiple projects and tight deadlines across time zones.
  • Bachelor's degree and minimum two years of related work experience (or equivalent).
