An Ról:

The Legacy Infrastructure Analyst will be responsible for the technical assessment and review of Taking-in-Charge applications for legacy housing estates and group water & sewerage schemes. They will, when required, carry out field assessments to fully evaluate the condition of legacy infrastructure and will work closely with Local Authority personnel and other departments within Uisce Éireann.

The role will report into the Legacy Infrastructure Technical Lead and sits under the Chief Technical Advisory Team. The Legacy Infrastructure teamwork closely with the Land Management team and relevant parties to deliver key results for our stakeholders. The Legacy Infrastructure Analyst will also support the delivery of monthly KPI's and be part of continuous improvement initiatives within this function.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide excellent stakeholder experience through the effective delivery of Uisce Eireann's responsibilities in relation to the Local Authority Taking-in-Charge process.
• Undertaking technical reviews of Taking-In-Charge applications from Local Authorities including review of network layout drawings of water and wastewater networks, CCTV of wastewater networks, manhole condition surveys and water audit reports.
• When required, undertaking field assessments of legacy housing development and group scheme infrastructure to assess asset condition, providing detailed feedback to relevant stakeholders.
• Cost estimation and agreement for all works included in the remediation of defective water and wastewater infrastructure in housing estates in line with approved Uisce Éireann budgets and governance protocols.
• Planning and preparing work proposals in collaboration with Local Authority personnel to ensure optimum service levels are achieved in legacy housing estates.
• Liaising with Legacy Infrastructure Technical Lead in relation to any identified technical challenges or opportunities presented in the line of duty.
• Data capture, aggregation, and collation as part of weekly duties in addition to input to the monthly figures for reporting purposes in this function.
• Capturing of new customer and account transfer information on behalf of Uisce Éireann ensuring alignment with the organisations data privacy regulations.
• Using Uisce Éireann's GIS mapping software, ensuring data received can be transferred successfully to the Asset Intelligence database for use by the wider business.
• Working closely with other areas of the business and building strong working relationships to provide key outputs for the Legacy Infrastructure team.
• Knowledge of planning legislation desirable, but not essential.
• Perform other such duties in relation to work and Asset Management as Uisce Éireann may reasonably require.

General Duties and Responsibilities

• Collaboration with key internal stakeholders across the UÉ business
• Responsible for promoting and delivering health and safety commitments across UÉ and its supply chain, reinforcing positive behaviours and delivering health and safety objectives and requirements to the highest industry standards
• Support the delivery of the Uisce Éireann Transformation Programme, driving results required within the Directorate and supporting organisation-wide objectives
• Conducts duties and responsibilities in accordance with Uisce Éireann's Information Security policies, standards, processes and controls to protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of UÉ business information and delivery of critical services, in accordance with the NIS Directive and any other relevant cybersecurity regulation
• Other duties as required

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

• Third level qualification in Engineering, or a related degree, with at least 3 years' experience working in utilities.
• Experience in independently resolving customer challenges while maintaining high service standards.
• Ability to develop effective partnerships with a wide range of stakeholders and ability to look for and listen to diverse perspectives.
• Demonstrated flexibility with regard to working in a changing environment and the ability to adjust to new work structures, processes and requirements as necessary
• Track record of striving for quality and ensuring consistently high standards of work
• Proven track record in raising safety concerns and helping to find solutions
