Key Responsibilities:- Providing one-on-one or small-group support to students with additional learning needs, ensuring they receive the individualised attention and resources they require
- Collaborating with teachers to develop and implement tailored learning strategies, accommodations, and interventions that cater to the unique needs of each student
- Fostering a nurturing, inclusive, and supportive learning environment that empowers students to overcome challenges and reach their full potential
- Maintaining detailed records of student progress, adapting teaching methods as needed, and effectively communicating with parents and caregivers
- Participating in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and stay up-to-date with the latest best practices in special education
- Assisting with classroom management, behaviour support, and other administrative duties as required
- Relevant degree or diploma in education, special needs, or a related field
- Previous experience working with students with additional learning needs, such as autism, dyslexia, or ADHD
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and work effectively under pressure
- A genuine passion for making a positive difference in the lives of young people and a commitment to inclusive education
