ALN Teaching Assistant - Complex Needs

Specialist ALN School Ages 3-19

Rate: £90 - £95 per day

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Additional Learning Needs (ALN) Teaching Assistant to join our client school supporting children and young people aged 3-19 with severe, profound and multiple learning difficulties.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting pupils with SLD, PMLD, autism, physical disabilities and complex learning needs
• Providing one-to-one and small group support tailored to individual development plans
• Occasionally assisting with personal care, mobility and wellbeing, ensuring dignity and safety
• Supporting sensory, communication and differentiated learning activities
• Promoting positive behaviour, emotional regulation and inclusion
• Working closely with teachers and specialist professionals

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience supporting children or young people with ALN or complex needs
• Is calm, patient and caring, with a flexible and positive approach
• Works well as part of a team in a specialist setting
• Is committed to safeguarding and inclusive practice

A Child and Adult DBS is required for this position.
