All Age Advanced Safeguarding Practitioner

The post holder will be responsible for providing specialist advice on managing all age safeguarding matters within the organisation, working in partnership with social care colleagues across all ages.
The post holder will coordinate safeguarding procedures, being line managed by the Lead Professional for Adult Safeguarding but also reporting to the Named Nurses for Safeguarding Children.
Represent the Trust when working with multi-agencies and to be an advisor for all safeguarding related themes, including the Mental Capacity Act, Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards, Domestic Abuse (including MARAC), promoting Making Safeguarding Personal agenda.
Although required to work across sites the post holder will be based mostly at Northwick Park Hospital.

Main duties of the jobThe post holder will support the Lead Professional for Adult Safeguarding and Named Nurses to work within a Family Approach across the Trust and in partnership with multi-agencies.
The post holder will support the Safeguarding Team in ensuring that LNWH's statutory duties and responsibilities to safeguard children, young people, adults are discharged effectively in line with national and local frameworks.
Work collaboratively and in partnership with other agencies to promote effective ways of working together with vulnerable children, adults, and families.
Support the Lead Professional for Adult Safeguarding and Named Nurse in the development, delivery and facilitation of study days, learning sets, and courses, complementing and supporting the Think Family Approach.

Person Specification Education/Qualifications- Registered Professional Nurse / Social Worker / Allied Health Professional or Paramedic with experience of working within safeguarding.
- Evidence of ongoing professional development
- Working within a Safeguarding Team
- Teaching and assessment qualification.
- Knowledge of national and local Safeguarding Policies, guidelines, and recommendations.
- Demonstrates knowledge relevant to patterns of abuse and neglect. Knowledge of the multi-agency safeguarding systems, such as MASH, MARAC and PREVENT
- Experience of policy development and implementation.
- Experience in Safeguarding Supervision.
- Ability to be a resilient professional within a strengths-based approach and in working with all team and partnership colleagues.
- Ability to demonstrate tenacity and responsiveness in safeguarding vulnerable children/adults and families.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrates an inclusive and compassionate approach, shows proactive initiative, applies strong professional curiosity, makes timely well-reasoned decisions, and upholds the highest standards of ethical conduct and integrity.
