Arup is hiring a Graduate Air Quality Consultant in the UK. Join our national team to deliver air quality assessments on diverse energy, aviation, and infrastructure projects. Arup's Air Quality team operates as a national practice, sharing resources and projects effectively across our UK-based team offices. Due to ever an increasing pipeline of work, we are looking for a recent graduate to start their career in environmental consultancy and join our UK air quality team, being based in one of our London, Edinburgh, Birmingham, Newcastle or Leeds offices.

As a Air Quality Consultant you will have the opportunity to work on diverse projects among different sectors including energy, aviation, infrastructure and advisory. Daily, you will work alongside our experienced consultants and undertake air quality assessments, from informing design to fulfilling regulatory requirements and accompanying planning applications. You will provide a key role supporting and assisting with all aspects in project delivery, as well as communicating and liaising with clients (internal and external) regularly. Subject to project requirements, attendance at site visits is also to be expected.

Qualifications

To excel in this Air Quality Consultant Job, you should have:

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant subject.
  • Member of the Institute of Air Quality Management (IAQM) or Institution of Environmental Science (IES). (Desirable).
  • Strong interest and knowledge of air quality and environmental matters.
  • Knowledge of delivering air quality assessments and the use of dispersion modelling software such as ADMS, AERMOD. (Desirable).
  • Proficient in geographical information system (GIS). (Desirable).
  • Knowledge of digital tools such as PowerBI, OpenAir and Python for data interpretation and visualisation. (Desirable).
