YOUR ROLEAt our Dublin Air Freight operation, logistics is a people business. We are now looking for an experienced and commercially driven Air Freight Manager to lead, shape and develop our Dublin air operation, deploying the Group's strategic business plan through operational excellence, strong leadership and a continuous improvement mindset.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Deploy and deliver the business plan within the Dublin Air Freight operation, ensuring objectives are achieved through operational excellence.
- Take full accountability of Air Freight operations, including service delivery, productivity, compliance, cost control and performance.
- Drive retention and development of existing business, ensuring strong customer relationships, service quality and commercial performance.
- Create, embed and lead a Continuous Improvement culture, improving structure, processes, systems and operational productivity across the organisation.
- Build, develop and lead a high-performing management and operational team, fostering engagement, accountability and professional development.
- Identify operational efficiencies, cost saving initiatives and performance improvements, ensuring sustainable and scalable operations.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory, safety, quality and company standards across the air freight operation.
- Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to support growth, transformation and best practice sharing.
- Act as an ambassador for the Dublin operation, maintaining strong relationships with customers, suppliers and partners.
- Proven leadership experience within an Air Freight or Freight Forwarding environment, ideally managing a full operation or site.
- Demonstrable experience of deploying business objectives and translating them into operational delivery.
- Strong operational background with a track record of continuous improvement, process optimisation and productivity enhancement.
- Commercially astute with experience in retaining and developing existing customer accounts.
- Confident people leader able to build, develop and motivate high-performing teams.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, able to influence at all levels internally and externally.
- Highly organized, analytical and solutions focused with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to represent the operation at senior level.
