The Air Force Health is hiring for Clinical Psychologists. This offers a unique opportunity for psychologists to pursue a career helping airmen and their families in military life.

You will apply psychological principles and techniques to problems of human performance, maladjustment, and psychological disturbances. You will also evaluate, diagnose, and treat psychological and neuropsychological disorders as well as teach and supervise other clinician and mental health staff.

• Applying methods of psychology to direct patient care
• Conducting pre-screening of people who intend to join the Air Force
• Offering appointments and consultations for mental and emotional support
• Supporting families with the adjustment to a military lifestyle
• Planning and providing individual and group therapy sessions
• Supporting clients as they overcome alcohol or substance use
• Providing aviation psychology methods and practices to Air Force pilots
• Offering therapy services on managing stress and anxiety
• Evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients
• Providing Air Force members with methods of managing PTSD successfully
• Supervising and training other clinical and mental health staff
• Leading and managing mental health service offices
• Conducting research using clinical psychology methods and best practices
