CBW are recruiting an Air Conditioning Engineer for a forward-thinking, specialist contractor working directly with end-user clients across Scotland's Central Belt. You'll be supported by a strong back office, sensible workloads, and systems designed to let you do your job properly.
Salary & Benefits That Actually Matter:- Salary up to £45,000 DOE
- Guaranteed extra earnings - approx. £600/year from call-out
- 36-hour working week (not 40+)
- On-call only every 6 weeks (often less)
- Call-out pay: £100 weekend allowance + minimum 4 hours paid
- Overtime:
- Saturday - Time & a half
- Sunday - Double time
- Paid travel time after 20 miles from office

This is a supportive, honest, and collaborative team where engineers are trusted and valued.
You'll work directly with end-user clients across:- Hospitality
- Retail
- Pharmaceutical
- Commercial & specialist facilities
Predominantly Central Belt of Scotland, with occasional travel further North
Key Duties:- Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
- Reactive maintenance & breakdowns
- Fault finding, diagnostics & repairs
- First-time fixes wherever possible
- Safe, high-quality work standards
- Clear communication with clients & support teams
- F-Gas Category 1
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration (or equivalent)
- Proven experience as a mobile Air Conditioning Engineer
- Strong commercial PPM & fault-finding experience
- Full UK driving licence
