AI Solutions Engineer Role Summary
We're looking for an innovative AI Solutions Engineer to architect, develop, and deploy intelligent automation systems. The successful candidate will possess deep expertise in prompt optimisation, Large Language Model integration, and strategic business consulting to create meaningful AI-driven solutions. Working alongside business teams, you'll uncover automation possibilities, establish technical requirements, and develop systems that bridge Large Language Models with process automation technologies and corporate data ecosystems.

Salary: £85k - £95K

AI Solutions Engineer Core Duties and Key Outcomes

• Partner with business teams to analyse needs and discover AI/automation enhancement opportunities
• Architect, develop, and refine prompts for Large Language Models to ensure dependable and consistent results
• Create and implement intelligent workflow systems, integrating LLMs with enterprise applications, APIs, and automation ecosystems
• Develop Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures to connect organisational knowledge with LLMs
• Rapidly prototype and refine AI applications, showcasing tangible business benefits
• Provide guidance on ethical AI implementation, covering governance frameworks, regulatory compliance, and risk mitigation
• Monitor and evaluate emerging AI technologies, tools, and sector trends

AI Solutions Engineer Technical Background & Knowledge

• Extensive hands-on experience with Large Language Models (such as GPT, Claude, LLaMA) and prompt optimisation techniques
• Proven track record of embedding LLMs into business processes using frameworks like LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar technologies
• Advanced programming skills in Python or JavaScript for rapid prototyping and system integration
• Familiarity with workflow automation solutions (UiPath, Power Automate, Zapier, n8n) and API development
• Practical knowledge of vector databases and embedding technologies for RAG system implementation
• Outstanding interpersonal skills - capable of converting business challenges into technical AI strategies
• Background in agile methodologies or dynamic project environments
