At ROKE, you'll join a supportive, collaborative team working on mission-critical challenges across national security. Your work will help customers understand, assess and defend against emerging AI-enabled risks.

What You'll Be Doing

• Conduct research into emerging AI threats, vulnerabilities and attack techniques.
• Design and develop novel solutions, tools and prototypes that enable customer missions and inform their decisions.
• Perform vulnerability analysis, reverse engineering and security assessments across a range of platforms.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to transition research into real-world capabilities.
• Contribute to technical reports and customer deliverables that explain complex findings clearly.
• Present to both technical and non-technical audiences, communicating clearly the relevance and impact of the work.
• Stay ahead of the latest developments in AI security and share practical insights with the wider team.

What You'll Bring
At Roke we like to develop multi-disciplinary teams and don't expect any single person to possess all of the skills required to deliver a project. We'd like to hear from you if you bring strong technical curiosity, sound judgement and experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Exploit development.
• Secure software development.
• Vulnerability research skills.
• Machine Learning model development and understanding of the ML eco-system.
• Familiarity with vulnerability research tools and frameworks.
• Understanding of operating systems, networks and system architecture.
• Reverse engineering.

Nice to Have

• Experience researching AI, machine learning or large language model security risks.
• Experience turning research ideas into working prototypes, tools or customer-facing demonstrations.
• Ability to explain technical findings to both specialist and non-specialist audiences.

Location & Clearance
This role will be based from Romsey, with an opportunity to visit our client sites in the London area

Due to the nature of this role, you must be eligible and willing to achieve DV clearance.
