Job Description

Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive AI Security Architect (or Security Engineer) to provide first-line security support and leadership in the design, development, and deployment of AI-based products. You will play a critical role in shaping secure architecture, conducting threat modelling, and ensuring the responsible integration of third-party APIs, large language models (LLMs), and cloud-native services in alignment with Secure by Design principles and relevant compliance frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:
* Provide first-line security support across AI projects, including leading threat modelling sessions using frameworks such as STRIDE.
* Conduct risk assessments in alignment with internal policies and regulatory standards, including third-party vendor risk assessments.
* Create and maintain security artifacts for AI product development, contributing to security governance, localised security standards, and process documentation.
* Design, implement, and maintain security architecture for AI-driven solutions and platforms.
* Own and manage the security documentation case, including:
o Architectural decisions and justification
o Results from in-house and third-party penetration testing
o Scope definitions and remediation action plans
* Ensure compliance with security and privacy regulations and best practices, including:
o UK GDPR
o OWASP standards including WebApp, LLM Top 10, MASVS, and GenAI Red Teaming Guide
o ISO 42001:2023 - AI Management System
* Embed Secure by Design principles into both experimental PoC environments and production-grade deployments.
* Oversee and ensure the secure integration of:
o Large Language Models (LLMs)
o Third-party APIs
o Cloud-native services across AWS, Azure, and GCP

Required Skills & Experience:
* Proven experience in a Security Architect or Security Engineer role, ideally in AI or cloud-native environments
* Strong working knowledge of STRIDE, OWASP, and risk assessment methodologies
* Demonstrated expertise in AI security, including the risks and mitigations associated with LLMs and generative AI technologies
* Deep familiarity with cloud security practices across AWS, Azure, and/or GCP
* Solid understanding of UK GDPR and compliance implications in data-intensive environments
* Experience working in secure software development life cycle (SSDLC) and DevSecOps frameworks
* Strong documentation and communication skills to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications:
* Certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, AWS Certified Security - Speciality, or Certified AI Security Professional (CAISP)
* Experience working with AI governance or ethics committees
* Hands-on experience with AI red teaming, adversarial testing, or secure ML pipelines
