AI Prompt Engineer - Document Intelligence

Location: Remote (Ireland)/Hybrid (Cork)
Role Type: 6-Month Contract (Extendable)
Compensation: €70,000 - €80,000 per annum

The Mission

We are seeking a technical AI Prompt Engineer to lead the design and optimization of LLM workflows within the healthcare and pharmaceutical sector. This is not just a "creative writing" role-it is a production-focused engineering position. You will build the systems that teach AI to accurately extract, summarize, and classify complex data from pharmaceutical contracts, medical enrollment forms, and legal amendments.

What You Will Do

• Prompt Engineering & RAG: Design and refine advanced prompts, system messages, and templates for clause extraction and healthcare document classification.
• Production-Ready Backend: Build document ingestion and processing workflows using Python (FastAPI/Django/Pydantic) and vector search.
• Accuracy & Quality: Implement and tune RAG components, chunking strategies, and retrieval logic while developing automated test frameworks to mitigate hallucinations.
• Compliance & Security: Collaborate with legal and pharmacy operations teams to ensure AI outputs meet strict pharmaceutical compliance and data safety standards.

Who You Are

• The Technical Specialist: You have a proven track record in prompt engineering for document processing and data extraction.
• Python Expert: Strong Back End skills in Python, including experience with FastAPI, Django, and structured output formats like JSON/Pydantic.
• Modern AI Stack: You are familiar with RAG architectures, embeddings, and LLM evaluation datasets.
• Industry Savvy: (Preferred) Experience with healthcare or pharmaceutical documentation (eg, HUB services, prior authorizations, or contract analysis).
