As an AI engineer at Writer, you will play a key role in developing and deploying cutting-edge generative AI models and algorithms. Collaborating with our team of software engineers, data scientists, and researchers, you will design and implement AI solutions that drive our innovative products.

Your responsibilities

1. Collaborate with engineering, data science, and AI teams to develop AI-powered capabilities.
2. Evaluate AI model performance through testing and experimentation.
3. Deploy and improve LLM-based applications in production.
4. Integrate AI capabilities into production systems, ensuring scalability and efficiency.
5. Stay updated with AI and ML advancements and suggest improvements.
6. Work with cross-functional teams to develop AI solutions based on business needs.
7. Design, implement, and maintain scalable retrieval and agentic systems.
8. Implement testing and CI/CD practices for AI system development.

Is this you?

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in Python programming.
• 5+ years of experience in software engineering and AI/ML development, including:

• Experience with production software and systems design.
• Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and model development.
• Experience with ML lifecycle tools like MLflow, DVC, Weights & Biases.
• Experience deploying ML systems on the cloud.
• Professional experience with LLMs and large-scale models.
• Strong software engineering skills with scalable, distributed ML systems.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication of complex ideas.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience building scalable applications with LLMs using frameworks like LangChain, LlamaIndex, Hugging Face, etc.
• Deep knowledge of RAG implementation and enhancements.
