Every day, over a million inspectors manually assess infrastructure, factories, and goods using processes that haven't evolved in decades. The result? Delays, errors, and billions in losses. We've raised an oversubscribed pre-seed round totalling $4M from tier one investors (who backed Stripe, Lime, Discord, Flexport).

We work with some of the largest Testing, Inspection, and Certification (TIC) companies globally increasing inspection throughput.

About this role

We're building a transformative AI-powered platform that is redefining industrial processes, and we're looking for an Applied AI Engineer to join our team. This role is at the heart of our mission to unlock the value of decades of industrial knowledge and data, turning it into actionable insights that drive real-world impact.

As an Applied AI Engineer, you'll work on some of the most challenging and exciting problems in enterprise AI. From building document extraction engines that process decades of technical documents and drawings to integrating state-of-the-art AI models into our reporting platform, your work will directly shape the future of the industry.

This is a hands-on role where you'll apply cutting-edge AI research to solve real-world problems and build products that deliver tangible value to users.

What You'll Do:

Build and deploy AI-powered solutions that extract and process information from a wide variety of document types, including technical documents, inspection reports and drawings.

Implement and integrate leading AI models including LLMs into our platform to solve real-world problems.

Develop backend systems and processing engines that power our reporting and data extraction capabilities.

Own and develop AI-powered product features that create exceptional user experiences, ensuring solutions are intuitive, valuable, and lovable for our users.

Tackle unique challenges in industrial AI , such as enabling software to understand and process technical drawings.

Contribute to the development of a scalable, AI-driven reporting layer that transforms how industrial data is collected, processed, and used.

Who you are:

You have experience building AI products that deliver real value to users, not just training models.

You're familiar with state-of-the-art AI research and know how to apply it to real-world problems.

You're comfortable working with backend systems , ideally with experience in Python (TypeScript experience is a bonus).

You act with high agency and can figure out the 20% that will drive 80% of the results.

You thrive in a hands-on role where 90% of your work will focus on backend systems and AI-powered engines.

You're excited about solving complex problems in industrial AI , from document processing to technical drawing analysis.

Bonus Points If You Have:

• Past experience in early-stage startups
• Experience building modern LLM-based products.
• A background in automating enterprise processes or building document AI products.

Compensation + Benefits

£90,000 - £130,000 + equity

At our early stage, we care about reducing communication latency, and moving quickly. That's why we work in person five days a week from our sunny office in Covent Garden. We believe being together helps us move faster and solve problems more effectively.
