This is the jobJoin us as a AI Automation Manager to shape the future of transactional finance by delivering intelligent automation across high volume processes such as AP, AR, and reconciliations. You'll play a key role in modernising controls testing with AI driven workflows, applying your expertise in process improvement, RPA tools, and ERP systems to unlock meaningful efficiency and impact.
You'll lead the end-to-end delivery of automation initiatives that elevate performance across a complex legacy estate. This is a high-visibility opportunity for someone who thrives on innovation, collaboration, and problem solving and who wants to help define how automation transforms the way we work.
What will I be doing?- Lead the delivery of AI driven automation across AP, AR, reconciliations, and controls testing, creating smarter, faster, and more reliable finance processes.
- Build intelligent workflows and exception handling using a blend of AI capabilities and leading RPA tools.
- Use technologies such as UiPath/Blue Prism, OCR, Alteryx, and AI models to optimise transactional activity and enhance operational efficiency.
- Integrate automation with ERP systems to improve data flow, accuracy, and real-time reporting.
- Continuously refine and enhance automation solutions using performance data, testing insights, and user feedback.
- Apply Lean Six Sigma approaches to identify bottlenecks and deliver measurable process improvements.
- Automate controls testing and compliance monitoring, ensuring solutions are robust, auditable, and well-documented.
- Work closely with finance operations, IT, and compliance teams to ensure automation aligns to business priorities and delivers tangible value.
- Engage and influence stakeholders at all levels, promoting the benefits, scalability, and future potential of AI-powered automation.
Capability, Knowledge and Experience:
- Proven experience in process improvement and finance operations, ideally within a high volume environment.
- Hands on expertise with automation technologies such as UiPath, Blue Prism, OCR, Alteryx, and AI-driven exception handling.
- Strong understanding of ERP systems and how to integrate them effectively with automation platforms.
- A track record of delivering automation projects iteratively, at scale, and with measurable business impact.
- Lean Six Sigma certification (or similar process improvement credentials) is highly beneficial.
- Background in finance operations or automation consulting is a strong advantage.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and change leadership skills.
- Experience leading or managing teams, with the ability to inspire and develop others.
