Job Description
Role Profile

We have an opportunity for an Agronomist covering County Laois. The position has the responsibility of maintaining and developing sales with a list of key customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • To work with a list of existing and potentially new tillage customers in line with specific targets.
  • To ensure that cash is collected in line with targets and that debtor days are maintained at the level required.
  • To develop and maintain key information on all customers.
  • To provide technical tillage expertise and a Tirlán technical message to customers.
  • To execute campaigns and marketing plans in line with business needs.
  • To work closely with a number of other functions but particularly with the branch network, ruminant and agronomy Team.
Key Requirements
  • A professional qualification in Agriculture or a related discipline
  • A strong and wide knowledge of all Agri sectors
  • An excellent understanding of retail standards and keen interest in this area
  • Strong knowledge of computer systems- SAP, EPOS and Microsoft Office
  • A strong ability to build rapport with customers and understand their needs
  • An ability to be resilient in a competitive market
  • A good commercial acumen with a focus on selling product
  • Proven ability in planning, time management and reaching deadlines
  • A strong knowledge of the technical elements of Tillage operations
