Experienced Agricultural Technician

Charing, Kent - OTE £60,000

An excellent opportunity has become available for an experienced Agricultural Technician to join a well established and growing business.

This role offers the chance to work on a wide range of modern agricultural machinery, carrying out servicing, diagnostics, repairs and inspections both in the workshop and out in the field.

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm
• Overtime available during weekdays and weekends

The Role

As an Agricultural Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a variety of agricultural equipment, ensuring machinery remains reliable and operational for customers.

Key Duties Include

• Carrying out routine servicing, maintenance and repairs on agricultural machinery.
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults.
• Completing pre delivery inspections on new machinery.
• Using manufacturer diagnostic equipment and service software.
• Completing job reports and service records electronically.
• Attending manufacturer training courses to maintain technical knowledge.
• Promoting dealership services and supporting customer relationships.
• Working closely with customers, suppliers and colleagues.

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience as an Agricultural Technician is essential.
• Experience working on tractors, combines, sprayers, balers and other agricultural equipment.
• Strong diagnostic and fault finding abilities.
• Good hydraulic, mechanical and electrical knowledge.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Good IT skills and experience using diagnostic systems.
• Experience working on AGCO products would be advantageous but is not essential.
